4th of July Celebration
The annual 4th of July Celebration is organized by the Ridgefield 4th of July Committee, a non-profit that is a separate entity from the City. For a schedule of activities and other event information, please visit the event website.
Parade
The parade Route can be viewed from 4th Ave and Division down 3rd Ave, to Pioneer and 8th Ave.
- Chairs, blankets, etc. may be placed on sidewalks AFTER 6PM on Wednesday, July 3. Chairs and other personal property reserving space on public right of way before 6PM on July 3 will be removed and taken to the police station at 101 Mill Street.
- Parade Start Time: 11:00AM
- Parade spectators need to plan to arrive in downtown early. There will be backups on Pioneer and Hillhurst after 9:30 AM.
Parking
- Ridgefield High School (RHS), 2630 S Hillhurst Rd, FREE C-TRAN Shuttle to the Union Ridge school bus parking located off N 8th Ave. See map (PNG). Avoid the crowds and park at the high school!
- AM/Arrival Shuttle: Begin at 8 AM, final departure to Downtown at 10:10 AM.
- Park at Ridgefield High School, 2630 S Hillhurst Rd. Loading area in front of high school. Shuttles will run approximately every 20 minutes.
- NO SHUTTLE DURING PARADE
- PM/Return Shuttle: Begin approximately 12:30 PM, final departure 5 PM
- Pick up at school bus turn-around located off N 8th Avenue to shuttle back to RHS. Shuttles will run approximately every 20 minutes.
- Ridgefield Waterfront, 109 W Division St (cross the railroad tracks on the Pioneer Street Rail Overpass). FREE Shuttle to Ridgefield Community Library available.
- BEST ROUTE to waterfront parking is to detour north on Royle Road or Reiman Road to NW 289th Street and come south on Main Avenue. This route will avoid road closures and backups navigating through downtown. View map (PDF)
- ADA Parking at the Ridgefield Administrative and Civic Center, 510 Pioneer Street.
- No parking the night before.
- No parking on the Pioneer Street Rail Overpass.
Detour Route
Road closures will be in effect in Downtown throughout the morning, causing backups. Pioneer Street will be CLOSED at Hillhurst for the parade and detour will be required.
Avoid navigating around road closures by using one of these options:
- To DOWNTOWN PARKING and the BOAT LAUNCH: detour north on Royle Road or Reiman Road to NW 289th Street and come south on Main Avenue. This route will avoid road closures and backups navigating through downtown. FREE Shuttle available from waterfront parking to library.
- To SHUTTLE PARKING: Take Hillhurst Rd to Ridgefield High School, 2630 S Hillhurst Road. Use FREE C-TRAN Shuttle to downtown.

Portable toilets are available at the following locations:
- Ridgefield Administrative and Civic Center (510 Pioneer)
- 5th Ave and Division
- Davis Park (Mill and 3rd Ave)
- Next to City Hall (3rd Ave and Pioneer)
- Overlook Park (Main and Pioneer)
There is also a public restroom at Overlook Park (Main and Pioneer)
