I-5 Lane Closures - May 12 - May 23: Periodic nighttime (8 PM - 5:30 AM) lane closures in effect on I-5 near Exit 14 for Pioneer Street/Ridgefield on weeknights Monday, May 12 through Friday, May 23 to allow a city contractor to install safety screening on the Pioneer Street I-5 Overpass. Single lane and sidewalk closures will also be in effect on Pioneer Street between 65th Avenue and 56th Place during installation. Lane closures will shift dependent on work area, please slow down and stay focused when traveling through the work zone. The protective screening will also include Sandhill Cranes to match the ones recently installed in Downtown Ridgefield.
NE 279th Street between NE 10th Avenue and NE 14th Court - May 12 - 13: Single lane closure in effect on NE 279th between NE 10th Avenue and NE 14th Court from 7 AM - 4 PM to allow contractors to installing a gas main tie in for Greely Farms.
S 4th Way and S 21st Place - April 21 - June 20: Single lane closure in effect on S 4th and S 21st Place from April 21 to June 20, 7 AM to 5 PM, to allow for installation of electrical and construction associated with Ridgefield Heights.
S 15th Street at S 38th Court (Quail Ridge) - April 14 - May 14: Alternating single lane closures will be in effect on S 15th Street at S 38th Court from April 14 to May 14 to allow for street improvements for the Quail Ridge Subdivision.
Discovery Drive/Pioneer Canyon - CLOSED: Discovery Drive/Pioneer Canyon Drive is CLOSED between Pioneer Street and 53rd Place to allow the contractor to complete underground utilities, walls, lighting, roadway, curbs. fencing and sidewalk.
SIDEWALK - S 56th Place and 65th Avenue - April 4 - May 19: Beginning Friday, April 4, an extended closure of the north-side sidewalk will be in effect to allow contractors to start initial demo for additional access point to Ridgefield Gateway.
Pioneer Widening
Pioneer Street is OPEN. The Pioneer Street closure between Discovery Drive and 56th Place is complete, and travel is open in both directions on Pioneer Street.
- The new roundabout at Pioneer Street and Discovery Drive is functioning as through lanes for both directions.
- The area is still a construction zone, and there will be shoulder work and lane shifts ongoing as the project continues. Pay close attention, and please SLOW DOWN to protect workers.
- Pioneer Street will have one lane open in either direction now through September. In September, the contractor will complete final lift paving and Pioneer Street will have two lanes in either direction from 65th Ave to just west of Royle Road.
