Preparing for Winter Weather

Public Works Operations prepares for weather events by diligently following weather reports and monitoring weather stations. Our crews start working long before snowflakes fall to keep roads open during inclement weather.

In a snow or ice event, roads are cleared or treated by priority identified on the Snow and Ice Removal Map. During a winter weather event, we provide updates from the City operations crew on our website, Facebook and by text.

View Snow and Ice removal information on the city website.
