Welcome to Rest and Recharge Month! This is the perfect time to relax, rejuvenate, and focus on your well-being. Join us throughout the month as we explore a variety of activities designed to help you unwind, connect, and embrace a slower pace.
2026 Activities:
1. Mindful Moments Challenge
What It Is: Practice mindfulness every day with simple prompts to help you stay present and unwind.
How to Do It:
- Each day, choose one activity from the list below:
- Take 5 minutes to breathe deeply and focus on the present moment.
- Unplug from your phone or social media for 30 minutes.
- Go for a mindful walk, paying attention to the sounds around you.
- Practice mindful eating, savoring each bite slowly.
2. Yoga & Stretching Sessions
What It Is: Gentle yoga and stretching to help you release tension and promote relaxation.
How to Do It:
- Choose a day for your yoga/stretching practice. Use online videos or apps such as Yoga with Adriene (YouTube) or Down Dog (app).
- Focus on poses or stretches that ease tension in your neck, back, and shoulders.
3. Creative Journaling
What It Is: Reflect and unwind by journaling your thoughts, feelings, and creativity.
How to Do It:
- Pick up a journal and spend 10-15 minutes reflecting on the following prompts:
- “What brings me peace?”
- “What are three things I’m grateful for today?”
- “What does self-care look like for me?”
4. Restorative Sleep Tips
What It Is: Improve your sleep habits with simple tips and a relaxing evening routine.
How to Do It:
- Set a consistent bedtime and create a relaxing bedtime routine:

How to Do It:

How to Do It:

How to Do It:

- Where can I park?

Public parking for most events is available at:
- Street parking on Pioneer Street, Main Avenue, 3rd Avenue, Simons Street, 4th Avenue, Mill Street, 5th Avenue and Division Street.
- Parking areas: West side of Railroad Ave
Downtown parking can get crowded during events. Be prepared to have to walk a couple of blocks: arrive early, locate a drop off spot closer to the event for any passengers with mobility challenges, bring your patience. If possible, travel with family members or neighbors to minimize the cars in the area.
