The Ridgefield Police Department will conduct a planned training exercise at Ridgefield High School on Wednesday, July 2, and Thursday, July 24.
During these exercises, you may notice an increased presence of police and EMS personnel, as well as hear simulated activity in the area. The school grounds will be closed to the public, with signage indicating that a law enforcement training event is in progress.
No students will be present, school is out for the summer, and there is no danger to students, staff or the public.
This training is an important part of ensuring that Ridgefield police officers are prepared to respond effectively in the event of a real emergency.
