[ARCHIVED] Ridgefield Police Announce Police Officer Death

An off-duty Ridgefield police officer was located deceased on Monday, November 25, 2024 at the Ridgefield Marina.

Officer Colin Triber had been a member of the Ridgefield Police Department since January 2024. Prior to his service as a police officer, Triber served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a heavy helicopter crew chief and mechanic.

“We are heartbroken. We ask that the public and press give the family and the Ridgefield Police Department the privacy to grieve in this difficult time,” said Chief Doriot.

Following standard protocol, the Ridgefield Police Department has turned the investigation over to the Clark County Sheriff's Office. RPD offices will be closed until further notice. 24/7 patrol is continuing.
