[ARCHIVED] City of Ridgefield Receives Recognition for 2021 Financial Reporting

In April 2023, the City of Ridgefield received recognition for 2021 Financial Reporting.

The City of Ridgefield is proud to be one of a handful of entities in both the United States and Canada to receive recognition for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and the Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) as well as the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. The City has received recognition for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for eight years and created its first PAFR for the 2021 fiscal year.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report:

Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to City of Ridgefield for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2021. The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report. This is the eighth year in a row the City has received this award.

The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
