The Planning Commission is comprised of seven volunteers who advise the City Council on planning, development, and growth issues for the community. Beginning in 2023, the primary focus is a new 20-year Comprehensive Plan to be completed in 2025; the Capital Facilities Plans, and Development Code regulations.
Planning Commission members serve four-year terms. The time commitment includes regular attendance at meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month, preparation for meetings, and active involvement in the Ridgefield community. Eligible applicants must reside within the city limits.
